If you use a Windows 7.5 or 8.0 device, You Will no Longer Receive Mobile Push Notification from Microsoft

Microsoft will no longer support mobile push notifications on its Windows Phone 7 and 8 from today February 20th. This means devices on Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.0 will:

i.   No longer receive notifications
ii.  Lose the live tile updates
iii. Will no longer be able to locate devices using the “find my  phone” feature.

Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8.0 have reached their end of support dates, hence the discontinuing of these services.

Recall that Microsoft announced last October that it would stop developing new features or hardware for Windows 10 Mobile. Slowly the Windows Phone is being phased out, although the market share of the Windows OS fell to 0.1 percent in the first quarter of 2017.
